A big part of the fun of going to Horning's is not just seeing Cheese, but also going to playshops (hippies don't go to "work"shops) and enjoying the community.
Here, Reed and I are enjoying an open mike playshop.
There was a sculpture that people were invited to contribute to. We had brought some dried flowers from home to hand out to people and we brought a few by to add to the sculpture. Reed especially liked the dried daisies!
Sunday afternoon, Reed and I participated in the wizards parade! Lots of cute kids in cute costumes, but not another dragon baby to be seen.

Saturday cont.
Don't you hate it when you show up to a party and somebody's wearing the same dress as you?!
Reed and the baby who was camped next to us (Vanport) were wearing the exact same onesie on Saturday night! Turns out, we even got them at the same Cheese show last summer! Small world, or maybe just a small band...
Fortunately, the boys made up later on, by reenacting some of the light saber duels from Star Wars, with their glow sticks.
And speaking of glow sticks... This is not a great picture, but it's a fun story. It's a bit of a Saturday night tradition to throw around lots of glow sticks on Saturday night. It makes for a cool effect to see all the glow stick flying through the air, but when you've got a baby sleeping on your chest, your priority is to keep that baby sleeping. So when we found ourselves at the epicenter for the initial launch of thousands of glow sticks, Gerry and I tried to shield Reed's head from getting pelted. But Gerry, being the quick thinking Daddy he is, remembered that we had brought the umbrella because it looked like rain earlier in the evening. He quickly opened it, and here, Reed and I are sheltered from the glow stick deluge.

Saturday
It was a bit chilly on Saturday morning. I was glad to have brought warm clothes for myself and this super cute and very warm hat for Reed!
It's Saturday night and time to get all gussied up! Momma dons a pair of wings and baby Reed becomes a baby dragon. Watch out! He'll breathe fire on you as long as he isn't sucking his binkie!
Here are Gerry, Reed and I with our friends Steph and Sharon. We met them a few years ago at Horning's and have been running into them at shows ever since!!
Here are Steph and I again. Neither of the pcituers we got really do it justice, but she was wearing the most amazing peacock costume!
Reed's trying on the hula hoop for size... I think it might be a bit big, but he had fun anyway!

Horning's Hideout 2007!!
We wanted to share some of our pictures from Horning's Hideout with others, so instead of clogging up our baby blog with lots of show pics, I started a new blog! If you want to download a picture, click on the picture to view the full resolution picture, then right click on that picture to download it. Enjoy!
Here we are enjoying the music the first night!
